Lantrak were engaged by the civil contractor to provide a cost-effective secure solution for the transport and disposal of Asbestos impacted soils.Working with an environmental hygienist, over 40,000 tonnes of material were processed for off-site disposal to a Licensed Disposal Facility. Up to 4 excavators ranging from 20-50t, 12,000 Litre water cart along with 12-15 truck and trailers were used daily.
A key factor in delivering the project successfully was material tracking processes, with daily reporting of volumes. Use of compliant machinery with suitably licensed operators ensured the highest safety standards were met over the 10 month duration of the project.
